Karate-do competition commences at University of Ghana

Accra, Aug. 1 GNA – The Ghana Karate-Do Association in conjunction with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Authority has embarked on the organization of a Karate-Do competition dubbed UFAK Zone 3 Championship (13th TIKA-zone 3 Senior) from 30th July to 7th August.

Meanwhile the registration and accreditation of participants as well as Referee Courses and Examinations will also commenced at the Maison de Francaise, University of Ghana Legon, from 30th July to 4th August.

Patrick Anyodoho-Cofie, Secretary- General of the Ghana Karate-do Association in a press release copied to GNA Sports said the main Karate competition will take place on 5th – 6th August at the Tennis Court and Sports Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium.

He appealed to all lovers and participants to endeavour to make it point to come in their numbers to enjoy the fine acts of self-defence and the new rules of the sport.
