'Series is not over yet'- Coldstore Coach warns Lions

Nungua Coldstore Coach Ken Caesar has cautioned Ashaiman Lions sternly ahead of the team’s Game 2 matchup this weekend stating the “series is not over yet”.

He made the statement in a chat with Basketballghana.com following his side’s 63-45 win over defending Tema Basketball League Champions Coldstore in Game One of this year’s Group A final.

Caesar lamented his side’s failure to exploit Lions mistakes while committing many of their own in the big loss to the rival team.

However, ahead of the crucial second game on Sunday October 22 at Tema’s Community 4 Court, Caesar is adamant his side is not out of the championship game yet.

“Congrats to them (Ashaiman) but the series is not over yet. On to Game 2” he said after falling to Lions for the first time this season.

Coldstore beat Ashaiman to win last year’s title and post season curtain raiser in 2016 and completed another double in this year’s regular season.

Should win on Sunday, the team will book its place in the league final against either Tema Heat or Tema Community 4. C4 leads the series 1-0 after beating Heat 50-44 in Game One.
