Preparations continue feverishly for next year’s Sprite Ball Championship following the main draw for the anticipated competition. In the aftermath of the draw, attention has been shifted to events which will take center stage during the tournament in early January.

For the first time in the competition’s 11 year history, a cheerleading team is one the books to perform and entertain fans at the El Wak Stadium.

Another major attraction set to roll at the upcoming tournament is the All Star Game where standout Sprite Ball alumni face off.

The exhibition game has been a mainstay in the competition’s itinerary with the likes of celebrated players including Ekow Amoako featuring in previous editions.

Next year’s Championship takes place from January 4-6 at El Wak with 16 and 10 schools set to compete in the boys and girls divisions respectively.

Opoku Ware School won the boys divisions at the last edition by beating Mfantsipim School 27-25 while Wesley Girls High School beat Kumasi Girls High School to win the girls division.
