Inter High Schools Basketball Championship slated for Dec. 21

Accra, Dec. 9, GNA - This year's Inter High Schools Basketball Championship comes off at the Aviation Social Centre in Accra on December 21. Mr Yaw Sakyi, Chief Executive Officer of Rite Multi-Media, said on Tuesday that about 16 boys and 12 girls' schools from the Volta, Eastern, Central and Greater Accra regions are expected to participate in the event dubbed "Spite Ball". He named some of the schools who will compete in the one-day event, which is being sponsored by Coca-Cola Bottling Company, as Presbyterian Boys' Secondary, Legon, St. Augustine's, Wesley Girls, Holy Child School, Mfantsiman Girls, Akosombo International, Pope John's and Mawuli. Mr Sakyi said the winner in the boys' category takes home a trophy, 800 Ghana cedis and products from the sponsor while the winner in the girls segment takes home a trophy, 600 Ghana cedis and products from the sponsor. 09 Dec 08
