Decathlon Manager states company 'dedicated to developing sports'

Decathlon Store Manager Aziz Abubakari has opined his outfit is committed to develop sports in Ghana providing accessible sports products to the public.

The young administrator made the statement in an interview with Basketballghana.com during the grand opening of the company’s first connect store in East Legon, Accra.

Decathlon’s second shop in Ghana is located at the plush Lizzy Sports Complex with plans to expand to other cities in the West African nation to meet the company’s commitment.

Aziz, who manages the Lizzy Complex Store was confident the company’s expanding reach is a sure way of fulfilling that promise.

“Our business model is to listen to and understand our customers. It is key for us to understand the needs of our customers, after this, we can design and produce our own products for everybody” he said.

The first shop-located at the Junction Mall in Nungua- opened in April 2017 and has become the one stop store to purchase products in over 40 sports disciplines.

The French company operated in the manufacturing and retailing since 1976 and has been heavily involved in celebrated programs like the Universities,Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
