Akan submits his take on Election 2016 with Oman Ba Pa

Emerging Ghanaian hiphop act Akan, who recently rebranded from Quabena Shy, has released a new spoken word piece titled Oman Ba Pa.

Produced by Twisted Wavex, the song discusses civic responsibility ahead of Wednesday’s polls. He admonishes against tendencies of violence during Wednesday’s elections as ultimately, nobody is exempt from repercussions of irresponsible election behaviour.

Among other things, he also advises against total abstinence in the electoral process as we are all involved in the electoral process, and owe it to posterity.

Since getting into the industry with his Akan EP (March 2015), the prolific rapper has already earned massive acclaim and comparison to veterans as Obrafour, and his performance on this hiphop number no doubt, is exemplary.
