Ghanaian US-based musician KP Slime has officially released his first single of 2026, Akwantuo N’sem, featuring multi-award-winning Ghanaian powerhouse Medikal and Ghadboy.
Produced by Bybo Beats, Akwantuo N’sem chronicles an immigrant's journey in search of greener pastures, highlighting the struggles, sacrifices, challenges, and aspirations of leaving home for better opportunities abroad.
Medikal’s presence on Akwantuo N’sem brings an established rap voice and additional star power to KP Slime’s latest offering. His reputation for sharp lyrical delivery and engaging flows makes him a notable collaborator on a song built around the immigrant experience.
The collaboration also gives the record an opportunity to connect with a wider audience, particularly listeners who relate to the pursuit of success and the sacrifices that often accompany life abroad.
Born Ignatius Okwan, KP Slime hails from the Ashanti region of Ghana. The rapper’s earliest musical influences can be traced to the church.
KP Slime joined the youth choir and also began preaching at the children's service at a tender age, which in turn boosted his confidence to speak in public.
Beyond music, KP Slime is a certified personal trainer and has a passion for weightlifting.
Akwantuo N’asem is available on all digital streaming platforms.
