World Music Festival Concert Series set for Friday

International Arts Solutions (IAS) in associations with the Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture, Ghana Tourism Authority, and the W.E.B Dubois Center in collaboration with the exclusive Jazz Center + 233 Jazz Bar and Grill, is proud to present the first instalment of the “World Music Festival Concert Series”.

The event will feature Grammy Award-winning Reggae superstars, Third World and New Orleans music legend Cyril Neville and will be staged at the renown + 233 Jazz Bar and Grill (75 Dr, Isert Road, North Ridge) in Accra on Friday, June 22nd, 2018. Local artist Patch Bay will open the show at 8:00 pm.

This benefit concert will help kick-start a renovation initiative for the historic W.E.B Dubois Center and drive marketing and promotions that will target music fans, media, and corporate entities in Ghana and the US.

Tickets are selling for Ghc200.00, doors open at 7pm and show starts at 8pm

About the W.E.B Dubois Center:

Created, in 1985, as a research institution for Pan African history and culture, the W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture is a National Historic Monument of Ghana, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts. This major West African tourist site houses the mausoleum, personal library and museum of the Du Bois’s rich lives as influential American and Pan-African thinkers and activists. Now, the Centre operates as an implementing agency of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, under the supervision of the National Commission on Culture.

Also, on Monday, 25th of June, 2018, Third World will conduct an educational Workshop at the Du Bois Center. This workshop will take place at 10:00am and will center around the group’s long history as leaders in the Pan African Music Industry. The workshop is FREE and open to the public.
