The biggest musical concert on the Ghanaian calendar, Ghana Meets Naija, returns in its eighth year with an even bigger and more exciting package for music fans in both Ghana and Nigeria.

It was a jamming night that started with an ambience of music, drinks on the side of the main night of Ghana Meets Naija pre-party at the SOHO Nightclub at Marina Mall, Airport.

The party, which is the first of its kind in the history of the concert, was intended to give music fans an opportunity to interact with Africa’s biggest celebrities and give fans the opportunity to have fun with their favourite celebrities live inside SOHO.

The crowd went haywire especially the ladies as Stonebwoy, Wizkid, Ponobiom, King Promise, Mayorkun among others, walked into the audience and sang their songs along.

The atmosphere was filled with a lot of uncertainty as the fans cheered up the artiste.

Bola Ray, CEO of Empire Entertainment, the organisers of the Ghana Meets Naija event was also present to welcome the artiste.

This year’s Ghana Meets Naija will be held today, June 9 at the Fantasy Dome- Trade Fair- La in Accra.

Artiste on the bill tonight includes, Nigerian superstar, Wizkid, who makes a grand return to the prestigious stage, after his momentous 2013 appearance, Mayorkun, Mr. Eazi, and Dice joins him ‘Team Naija’ to battle Ghanaian acts lead by Stonebwoy, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Patapaa, Fancy Gadam as well as Uptown Energy front man Ponobiom.



Ghana Meets Naija has constantly served as the ultimate platform for the West African countries to execute their longstanding sibling rivalry in the area of music.

Since its inception, the concert has provided the opportunity for both Ghana and Nigeria to celebrate musicians whose works bond the two countries.

Dubbed the ‘Rescue Mission,’ this year’s sponsors include Kasapreko Alomo Gold and Storm Energy Drink, Allied Oil, Somoco Ghana Ltd and Nasco Mobile.
