Way Deep Returns to Hip-Hop Music

Ghanaian producer, Yaw Anoff (aka Way Deep) formerly of The Last Two has completed the recording of three hip-hop albums and is preparing them for release on April 1, 2005. After a four-year hiatus, Deep has returned full?force to the hip-hop music scene.

Way Deep co-founded the Sacramento, California-based Motherland Entertainment Group (MEG). Since July 2004, MEG has signed and developed two superstar rap acts, newcomers namely Esselle Blaize of Georgia and North Carolina native, Slim C.

On these albums, Deep has successfully wed his unique instrumentals to the laid-back rhymes of Slim C and to the gritty and soulful sound of Esselle Blaize. These exceptional artistes rhyming over Deep?s original compositions have culminated in a production showcase like no other.

The Motherland Sound has received rave reviews from industry insiders as well as lay people and attracted the attention of several major music distributors. MEG has even been offered worldwide distribution through the largest record distributor in the world, Universal Music and Video Distribution.

Esselle?s album, ?Who The F**k Is Esselle Blaize??? spans a range of musical genres from the blues-inspired ride with a shorty to the R&B classic, I Got This.

?New Movement?, Slim?s debut album, illustrates his natural lyricism and his phenomenal flow. ?The Motherland Mixtape Volume One? is a drive-time radio show featuring voices from coast-to-coast rapping over Deep?s exquisite beats. All three albums are expected to generate multi-platinum sales when they are released.

The Motherland Sound is poised to bring African hip-hop to the ears of the world. Stay tuned for more on Ghana Music.Com. You can contact Rhonda Anoff by email at speak@motherlandsound.com.
