VIP To Rock Kumasi

There are several ways that the universally acclaimed day of love ? Valentine?s Day ? is celebrated. Some people celebrate it by playing music in their rooms, others do it by taking their lovers out to romantic dinners and yet some others take to the dance floor in crowded night clubs to observe the day.

One activity that would mark this year?s Valentine?s Day in the nation?s second city of Kumasi is a live music show that would feature the hottest hiplife trio in town Vision In Progress (VIP). The three would mount the stage to treat their fans in Kumasi to some of the tracks in their previous albums as well as those currently hitting the airwaves.

The programme which is being organised by Angels Production is meant to raise funds to help the disable in the Ashanti Region. ?We are organizing the programme in aid of the less fortunate in society because Valentine?s Day is a day of showing love and those who are deprived of love for so long should be made to know that the society cares about them,? says Frankie Taylor Director of Angels Production.

Taylor who also doubles as the Director of Programmes at Kumasi based Fox FM said they ?chose VIP for this show because they have become the hottest show boys in the country since releasing their Ahomka Womu album and we are convinced they can thrill the crowd as best as we want.?

The programme has been dubbed ?Valentine?s Nite With VIP? and it has been scheduled to take place at the Osix Plaza in Kumasi. Appearing on the night as special guest artiste will be the show boy of hiplife Tic Tac. He is getting prepared to release his latest album and will be making his first appearance on stage in as many months.

Also billed to perform on the night are some of the up and coming hiplife performers like Dompe, Osahene Billy, Kooko Krachie and many others.

The show is being sponsored by GBL, Paramount Distilleries, Budget Cash and Carry and Angel Herbal Products.

?We are hoping that those who wish to celebrate Valentine?s Day in a musical mood and also wish to help the less-able in the society should be at the Osix Plaza to dance to the beautiful tunes of the ?Ahomka Womu Guys,? Frankie Taylor said.
