VIP & Friends Thrilled Nima Fans

The award winning Ghanaian Hiplife group, VIP, feted indigenes of Nima and its environs, in collaboration with EXP Ghana, entertained Muslim celebrants with an array of activities to give the people in the Nima and Mamobi communities a good time, at this year's 'Sallah Fest'.

It was held off the Nima highway as part of activities marking the Eid al-Fitr celebrations. On Sallah morning, large numbers of Muslims lined up their mats on the Nima highway to offer prayers to Allah before breaking into the celebration.

The celebration started with a long feast table measuring about 600 metres. The table feed about 10,000 people in the Nima, Maamobi and Newtown communities.

The feeding was closely followed by the Muslim traditional way of celebrating the Sallah, which included traditional drumming and dancing and the chiefs of Nima riding horses in a unique fashion.

VIP joined the celebration as the group went on the streets to show love to the Muslim community. The day was crowned with a free-for-all massive concert in the night hosted by VIP, whose talent was uncovered out of the Nima community over a decade ago.

The group thrilled thousands of music fans, who came out of their homes to enjoy VIP's exciting performance. It performed its repertoire while music fans sung and danced along.

It was indeed electrifying, as some of the crème de la crème in Ghana's music joined the group on stage to deliver a world class street show.

There were equally exciting and good performances by BET Award winner, Sarkodie, Tinny, 4×4, Efya, Iwan and more.
