Taking Gospel Music To The Home Of Gospel Music

Audrey Maison She recently released her debut Gospel CD entitled, ?Praise Him? she became an ordained minister for Ebenezar World Outreach Church. She was an opening act and sang from her debut CD at the recent Ghana Gospelfest held at the Newark Symphony Hall in New Jersey. She is embarking on a promotional tour in Ghana. The promotional tour kicks off in November.

It is well known that most of the renowned gospel singers of today from Ghana are based in the motherland itself and most of the Ghanaians in the Diaspora rely on their gospel music inspiration from this source.

So it becomes surprising when a gospel singer from New Jersey wishes to do the opposite. Pastor Audrey Maison is the one who is faced with this challenge. Ever since she released her first gospel album CD named ?Praise Him? she has sang in various churches in both New York, New Jersey and even in Canada. She has received a lot of acclaims from the audience but unless she has presented this music to her fellow Ghanaians at home she does not feel complete.

In fact another school of thought had suggested earlier that the CD itself should have been launched in Ghana and found its way back to the United States where it originated. No matter the present circumstances, Pastor Audrey has taken time off from her very busy schedule of preaching every Sunday at her church to go to Ghana to promote the CD. She will arrive in Ghana on November 2nd.

She is being preceded by her husband the ?Minister of Rhythms? himself who was the master brain of all the music on the CD Elder Stan Maison. Elder Maison is going to schedule all the TV and Radio interviews before the gospel star herself arrives. On the agenda is a live show to take place likely at Elmina Motel on the 6th and 7th November where the final funeral rites of Elder Maison?s mother , Madam Mary Pobee Vroom will be held. Arrangements have been concluded for a live band from Takoradi to back the couple where Elder Maison will feature on the keyboard.

Folks in Ghana will have a first hand opportunity to hear and perhaps see the latest American style Ghanaian gospel music that is quickly taken hold in the United States and hopefully to revolutionalize the Ghanaian gospel music in general.

Pastor Audrey Maison hopes to meet with the current top DJ?s and TV Personalities whilst she is in Ghana and has plans to invite some of them for a planned gospel fest to be held in the Easter period next year in New Jersey.
