T-Wizzle drops ‘Swagger King’ title

Rapper T-Wizzle burst onto the Ghanaian music scene with the alias, Swagger King when his debut music video, ‘Swagger Up’ hit the airwaves and the internet. But after serious considerations, the young artist has decided to drop the Swagger King title for T-Wizzle One Side.

He explains: “After my first video I got the name, Swagger King but I think that is disrespectful because I came into the game to meet a lot of big names with a lot of swag. It would be improper for me to come from nowhere claim such a title.”

Since the release of his single, ‘Swagger Up’, T-Wizzle became a regular fixture on radio, television, internet and other mediums. According to the rapper, he had already released 5 mixtapes and 4 singles which have received a lot of media attention and he attributes this achievement to God and the lovely Dj’s who play his music. He comments: “A lot 3 of my main songs from my upcoming album are receiving countless air play. Songs like ‘Swagger Up’, ‘Wukele’, ‘Akum Baby’ and ‘Wukele Remix’ and my mixtapes are doing well. Three of my songs have been picked up by Felix Sarpong of Victory Entertainment in New York, for his GH Compilation 2010.”

According to T-Wizzle, his 6-month management contract with Holland-based Rudeboy Entertainment has ended and so he currently not signed to any label. He is however hopeful that he would a good management team ahead of the release of his versatile debut album.

“I don’t have any management team or a manger and that’s what I’m looking for now. I’m just waiting to be sign to a good management team before I can drop the album, it’s versatile. To my fans, I love them so much and they should keep supporting me.”
