Rocky Dawuni's Indece Splash

At the plush Templebar, USA, Ghana's celebrated reggae icon, Rocky Dawuni will tonight, perform his last show in the US before he flies to Ghana next week, for the Rock Dawuni annual independence Splash on Friday, March 3, at the International Conference Centre.

Rocky Dawuni, who was nominated for "Best World Music Artiste 2005" by the influential LA Weekly, will be dishing out his new Afro Roots sound which continues to win him converts.

Rocky Dawuni who has been touring the US in the last couple of months, played at a benefit event last year in Los Angeles for the Lille Claire Foundation. He opened the event with a rendition of Bob Dylan's song 'Knocking on Heavens Door'.

In December, Rocky Dawuni also played at Zanzibar in Los Angeles and later at the Black History Museum. Rocky was also in Jamaica later in December to attend a film festival organized by Chris Blackwell, owner of Island Record which is the company that brought Bob Marley to international stardoms.
