Controversy surrounding whether it's prudent for a musician to pay payola to radio presenters and DJ's or not has taken a new twist.

Uk based popular hiplife artiste, Anda Rida has revealed that there is nothing wrong in paying payola.

Anda Rida, who is currently promoting his newest single track "sei Nkoaa" which features Ennwai of the defunct Dobble musical group, was answering a question pertaining to whether he has ever paid payola before:

"Hahahaha...who said payola is bad? Everybody want his or her song to be promoted so without motivating the DJ or the presenter how can your song be promoted well?", Anda Rida answered with a question.

"Yes, i have paid payola to DJ's and it's exceedingly good to pay. Just that you need to know the kind of DJ's and presenters who can really do great work for you after taking the money", Anda Rida added.

Anda Rida, who is known in real life as Samuel Amuzu, hinted to seancitygh.com that, though he has worked with seasoned artistes like Guru, Castro etc, he is now being promoted well because though his "Sei Nkoaa" song is good, he is paying payola to where it is due.
