Ghanaian gospel musician, Bernard Amankwah, says the industry he belongs to is not doing much to add value to their products to attract people to buy.

The situation, he noted, is hampering growth because the individual artistes are not generating enough revenue.

“Our Gospel music is not attractive in terms of the studio and engineering work, poor artist branding and lack of innovative ideas.”

In an interview on PLUZZ FM, he said some gospel musicians lack the creative ability to compose their own songs.

“The quest for recycling others original work has always been the norm for most Ghanaian Gospel artistes. The copy right laws are not working so that will pave way for such act in the industry.

The world is a global village where other international Gospel acts enhance their potentials with original ideas to improve their music career hence the need for us to also up our game as Ghanaian musicians.”

Bernard Amankwah, is credited with several hit songs, including ‘Presence’, ‘Presence II’, ‘Almighty’, ‘The Glory Has Come’, ‘Holy’, and ‘Mercy Rescue Me’.
