Mentor House - Paullette Or Martin?

There is no doubt that the reality show currently running on TV3 has caught on very well with viewers nation-wide. The Sunday evening live shows and eviction have now become the favourite of many.

Hell broke loose a couple of weeks ago when Paullette, probably the most lively female contestant was evicted.

Only last Sunday, Martin another active member who will always be remembered for his ?pastoral? duties in the house was also evicted.

Interestingly, rumours has is that Paullette and Martin had a thing for each other.

With the new twist of viewers having the chance to vote their favourite evicted housemate back to the house, the question on the minds of people is which of these two ?lovers? and the others will return to the house?

Now that the voting period for returning a house mate has been extended, viewers, who have good 70% vote for eviction can conveniently keep voting.

As to who makes the famous come-back, we will not know till Sunday evening but if information reaching Showbiz is anything to go by, then we can assure viewers that they will be in for a big surprise.

Meanwhile Showbiz sampled views of followers of the reality show which some critics have tagged Project Fame Ghana with others simply referring to it as Project Fame TV3.

Uncle Nab is an editor and had this to say, ?The idea is good because it will help to encourage musicianship especially at a time when the discipline is lost on the youth.?

For him, it is more significant that the contestants are playing live music as opposed to the much talked-about miming.

He had his reservation though, ?being the first of its kind, there have been hiccups which have improved week after week,? he said.

Uncle Nab made an appeal to the producers, ?we have music here, we have veterans, could we have a little more of Ghanaianess in the selection of music.?

Adobea, a banker would not have any of this reality show business, ?its a nice show but what is the point keeping them in the house for all this while? They can come from their homes like others did and perform on Sundays, they should also speak good English.?

Isaac, an office clerk with The Mirror loves Mentor to bits but is displeased with the manner of eviction, ?they should find a way of letting them know who is leaving instead of bringing all of them on stage, the tension is too much and it is not fair.?

He also urged the producers to encourage more Ghanaian music instead of the foreign ones that seem to dominate the programme.

Again he believes the contestants should be encouraged to speak English in the house as that is the national language.

The 70% voting right given to viewers is what Shirley, a graphic designer dislikes about Mentor, ?it should be a 50-50% for the judges and viewers.?

She also believes that the judges talk too much, ?they should rather attend rehearsals and offer all those technical advice instead of boring us on Sundays,? she said.

Finally, Shirley said the contestants should be well groomed on stage manners, ?the organisers should also be consistent, voting for the return of a favourite contestant was supposed to end last Monday only for them to extend the time.?

Ewurafua is an events organiser who does not miss Mentor, ?It is very exciting watching them through rehearsals to their Sunday shows, they should make it a point to speak g English and eloquently too as the contestants on ?Stars of the Future? did.?

Kobby, an industry expert is not amused with the judges at all,? they are not impressive, I think they have watched similar international shows and try to imitate but they should relax, be original and enjoy the show too and do away with the officiousness,? he said.
