Memphis Bleek Performs In Ghana

American rapper Memphis Bleek is expected to be in Ghana for the second time to join his Ghanaian fans commemorate this year’s Independence Day celebrations in Accra.

The rapper would be performing in Ghana at the plush Citizen Kofi Entertainment Centre on Saturday, March 5, ahead of the country’s Independence Day celebrations on March 6.

It is not clear when he would arrive in town but he is expected to receive a rousing welcome. He is the first American rapper to perform in Ghana this year, after Rick Ross’s show at the latter part of last year. The rapper is expected to gather one of the biggest hip hop crowds ever at Citizen Kofi.

He would be rocking the stage with a number of Ghanaian acts including D Black, Asem, Young Safi, Dee Money and a number of others. There will also be a photo session with Memphis and the other stars.

“Yes, Memphis Bleek is performing at Citizen Kofi,” Reks Brobbey, Event Manager of Citizen Kofi, confirmed to BEATWAVES on Friday.

Memphis last performed in Ghana in 2006 when he performed at the National Theatre alongside Jay Z. Born Malik Thuston Cox in 1978, he is known worldwide by the name Memphis Bleek.
