In Rememberance of Terry

Reggi Rockstone, Promzy of VIP, Obour,  Bright of Buk Bak, Slim Busterr, Okomfour, Captain Planet of 4x4, Abrewanana, Obrafour, and Chicago had this to say in rememberance of Terry when Ghana Music.Com caught up with them on the Bonchaka Nite Show.

REGGI ROCKSTONE:

Like all geniuses, Terry wasn?t meant to stay with ordinaries forever, or for long. He was sent to put some energy into this industry and leave just immediately, we began to feel him. Terry and I had planned to do something together on my upcoming album ? The Last Show. But who am I to stop God?s plans for Terry.

Promzy of VIP PROMZY - VIP:

I remember once when I was really broke; Terry got a promoter to put me on a show he was also billed on. He hooked me up to the flow. That showed how kind the boy was. How many artistes would do this in an industry where one?s failure is what most others were thinking of? In fact I blew the guy (named Jigga) who announced Terry?s death to me badly that he broke his nose and jaw. I was like how can you joke like this. And you know I always tell my mum that Terry wasn?t meant to stay long in this industry. He sort of came in purposely to tease us. The saddest part of his death was that the guy really hustled. He did more work that he got paid and I thought it wasn?t fair to leave just about when he was about to blow. Because of his image on my latest video- ?Ahomka Womu?, Terry will never slip off my mind.

OBOUR:

The last time I got real personal with Terry was early October this year at Reggi Rockstone?s show in Kumasi (Spacefon Legend Nite?03). After the show, the only food available for the artistes was rice. Terry and I had to go to my Auntie?s at Bokrom in Kumasi for fufu. I remember we were there till we had a call from the event organizers that we had to meet them half way to Accra. One thing I remember about Terry was that he never joked with his food. Since he left us I can really see that real stage showmanship is going down. He really made us all proud when we went to perform in London late February this year. Ask me and I will choose thinking about Terry instead of breathing.  
 

BUK BAK - BRIGHT:

Bright of Buk Bak Terry?s death is a real technical knockout to this industry.  When he was around, I loved it being on a show Terry was billed because Terry will perform forever on stage while you get ready backstage. And ask if the audience didn?t get bored. That was the magic he never taught any of us before he left. 

Slim Busterr SLIM BUSTERR:

At first, I was made to believe that there was a foul play about his death. I even vowed to support anyone who was ready to find out the real cause of his death. But now I think I have to take it as one of God?s wonderful doing. Terry was my boy; he was always at my studios; he was damn down-to-earth. Sometimes you wouldn?t believe what was fueling his quest for super stardom. Boy! This is a massive loss.

OKOMFOUR:

I only wish that people will now open their hearts and show love to one another until another soul is lost again. All the noises going on as if people loved Terry is pure hot air. For his creativity, this is also another reason why every person who calls himself or herself a performer should learn to do it their own way. I?m not sure if I?m already doing something unique, but I think I have learnt enough lessons after Terry?s sad end. I will always try to do something very unique so that one day when I?m not around everyone will have a vivid memory of me.

CAPTAIN PLANET - 4x4:

Surely no other person existing can, in any way, fill the gap Terry just left. Let?s wait till a lot more babies are made. Maybe a star (and I mean one as creative as Terry) will emerge.
 
Abrewaanana ABREWANANA:

When I first heard that Terry was dead, the world came to an impossible halt. I had to rush to the 37-millitary hospital to see it for myself.  Terry should have lived for at least a few more weeks and the music industry would have registered a real superstar. So sad the fire had to be extingushed just about when it was lighted. 

Obrafour OBRAFOUR:

I?m very sad he didn?t stay for another few hours to do his vocals for my upcoming all-star compilation album. He kept asking me hours before he died to leave some space on my album for him. I should have put other artistes aside to even allow him do so before he answererd the Almighty God?s call. By that, I would have had even more time to get to know him better. I?m yet to see another person?s death in this country that had caused so much heartbreak as Terry?s. He?s surely loved by all and hated by none. We will remember Terry on the 31st day of October every year.

Chicago CHICAGO:

When I put Terry on my ?Daben? album in 2000, I instantly realised a huge star was in the making. His way with lyric creation was something else. This cut he featured on sort of opened him up to the real world. Unfortunately, though, the album wasn?t commercially released for one reason or the other.  Though I would have been on record as the first to send Terry to the studios, I always thank my stars that the album wasn?t commercially released because if it were, Terry wouldn?t have qualified -as a fresh artiste- to take part in the 2001 National hip-life contest. I will always remember Terry for the act he was.
