I work hard and leave the rest to God – Sarkodie reveals secret to success in music

Rapper, Sarkodie Rapper, Sarkodie

Sarkodie is perhaps Ghana’s best rapper who has also made headlines on the international scene.

He has maintained his relevance in the music industry for about ten years without looking bad.

Most of the people he started with have not attained the level Sarkodie has attained for himself, making him outstanding among his contemporaries.

Sarkodie has also suffered the common accusation that he resorts to fetish power to thrive in the music industry.

In an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, a woman who claimed to be a prophetess warned Sarkodie to “desist from consulting evil spirits else he will vanish like Castro”.

However, the ‘Highest’ rapper has revealed in a tweet that he relies on God for his success in the industry.

He wrote: “For me to keep doing this for this long you think it’s by my power and might? Lol, you must b joking … I have little to do with it and that little is to work n leave the rest for the man up there.”

Sarkodie also encouraged people not to give up on their dreams but strive towards achieving greater laurels.

He was also in the news recently following a 'diss' song he released to attack Shatta Wale. In the song titled "Advice", Sarkodie called Shatta Wale names and said even though he boasts, Wale could not afford a brand new car.

Sarkodie further cautioned Shatta Wale to be wary of his dealings in the industry and his attack on colleagues because his relevance in the industry would fade soon.
