Gospel Stars Set For Kingdom Praise

It all began, last year, as a concert to launch the new albums of the first gospel artistes on the Lisarf music label. Now it has taken the colour and fire of an annual mammoth gospel show still under the name, “Kingdom Praise”.

Last year’s event attracted the crème de la crème of Ghana’s gospel musicians including award-winning singers, the Tagoes Sisters, Lady Prempeh and Daughters of Glorious Jesus.

The gospel “jama man” Josh Laryea and Yaw Baah-Barimah were the artistes who launched their fresh works on the Lisarf label at the show. This year, Josh will outdoor his new album, “Overcomer”, while Ophelia Nyantakyi, an old face on the gospel scene but new on the Lisarf block, will also introduce “Hossana”, her latest.

For this year’s “Kingdom Praise”, the organisers have hinted that Togolese singer, David Agbobli and King Jimmo from South Africa will be here to add some international flavour to the show.

Home stars on the bill are Rev Yawson, The Tagoe Sisters, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Suzzie & Matt, Prophet Seth Frimpong, Kweku Gyasi and Ama Boahemaah.

The others are Maame Serwaah, Lady Prempeh, Christiana Love, Agnes Opoku Agyemang, Grace Ashy, Ama Serwaah, Florence Obinim and Yaw Baah-Barimah.

The concert will be held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, August 13 at 7pm. Rev Gabriel Ansah, Rev Yaw Owusu Ansah and Abeiku Santana of Adom FM will run the show.

It is sponsored by Cross Africa, SSH Enterprise, Theatre for Change, Parmats Ventures, Borges Olive Oil, Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship, Cororange, Erata Hotel, City Link and Cofkans Enterprise.
