Tema youth face expulsion

Tema Youth face expulsion from the Confederation Cup after failing to arrive for Sunday's second round, first leg match against Astres Douala of Cameroon, officials said.

No formal reason for their non appearance was given but the Confederation of African Football traditionally expels teams who fail to travel for scheduled club competition matches.

The Ghanaian premier league side may also face a three year ban from competing in African club competitions.

Cameroon Football Federation officials said Tema Youth had been expected on Thursday but they then missed their scheduled training on Saturday and the official pre-match meeting on Saturday night.
