Batman - The Rag Life Dada

Batman Music was 22 years old Emmanuel Samini a.k.a Batman?s number one dream if you asked him a decade ago. Emmanuel Samini was born to Mr. G.A Samini and Mrs. Theresa Samini on 22nd December 1981 in Accra at Kanda. Actually he is from Wa in the Upper West Region but currently residing at Dansoman Exhibition.

Batman learned to pronounce his first English word at Holy Family School where he had his basic level and then proceeded to St. Margaret Mary?s Secondary School where he pursued business as a program. He is planning on going back to school God willing next year. His hobbies include music, having nice times at the beach.

Batman met Sonni Bali who was at that time doing some couple of appearances on Mary Agyepong?s songs. Sonni Bali introduced him to Mary Agyepong's producer and then a deal was cooking. He first featured on Mary Agyepong?s ?Twe No Bre Me? track. His second appearance was on Ekow Shailo?s track named ?Ma Odo Nso?. Then his engine of fame started. Abiola?s ?Me Yerenom Mmiensa" track was what he featured on next then on to Kokovelli`s ?Zaa-Za? track which is currently making waves in Ghana and outside Ghana.

Dansoman based K.K. Fosu handpicked Batman on his track ?Suudwe Suudwe?. He also featured on tracks like Kaakyire Kwame Appiah?s ?Ko ne Saa? , Paa Solo?s ?Sisi na Adee Wom?, Okomhyefoo`s ?Salamatu?, King David?s ?Aaye Fe Notse? which is a bomb and then Back Tyre?s recent album ?Yempie?. Batman has toured with great and big artistes like the Music Man Kojo Antwi from Accra to Kumasi and some other parts of Ghana. He has 3 brothers namely Anthony, Andrew and Martin and 2 sisters namely Julie and Mary.

One radio presenter, Bola Ray of Joy F.M a.k.a Nat Kwabena Adisi was very instrumental in this campaign. In fact, personally, I believe this chap deserves an award for his effort of genuinely promoting local music on radio. I am sure the organisers of Radio and T.V awards are listening. He is a big push to hip-life music.

Described as a poised boy with style, confidence, talent, charm, this 22 year old hiplife artiste was inspired by the likes of foreign artistes namely Buju Banton and Bob Marley. His maiden album entitled ?Dankwansere? meaning Bat will be coming out God willing next month. This album contains 8 solid tracks on the cassette and 10 solid tracks on the compact disc. Let us pinpoint 5 of the tracks. Side A opens with the title track ?Dankwansere? which is a rag life track and this track outdoors him and talks much about himself.

There is also another rag life track ?Mmaa Yi Beku Me? meaning girls bothering one man. The third track is ?Linda? which also has this rag life feeling. Precisely, it is a love track and ?Abrabo? closes the first side of the album.

Side B also opens with a bouncing track ?Di Wo Line Mu? which highlights on people concentrating on what they are doing and not poking their noses into people?s affairs. Batman is now a property of Ashanti International which is being run by Nana King.
