Adolf Tagoe caught in open kiss

Music is a food for the soul, music is part of life, music is a cure for so many diseases, music inspires, music makes some cry whiles others laugh, and music is one of the best psycho-therapies in the world.

Music is indeed everything. Though it feels great to as a music lover and enjoy your best musicians do their thing.

It equally feels heart warming to be a musician and doing what you love doing best to the admiration of millions of people all over the world. Some musicians begin at a very tender age and others even grow before they finally decide to do serious music.

But in all instances there is the passion for it somewhere. Adolf Tagoe a Ghanaian musician based in the United States tells his bit about music when Weekly Fylla caught up with him.

He was born in Accra but was moved as a little boy to Kumasi to leave with his family because his dad was working at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. At about 13 he began his expedition to explore other parts of the world. He traveled and stayed in USA, Germany, Holland, Brazil and other countries predominantly in Europe and America (North and South).

He became occupied with so many projects and plans as an engineer. Inspired by his grand mother, Adolf has always had a passion for music. As a composer he started writing his own songs but had still not decided to start doing it as a career until two years ago when he released his first album titled “Moni be moko” (The helpless) with familiar tracks like “Embi enye” (My rival), “Onyonko boni” (Bad friend), “Abusua boni” (Bad family), “Min sumo bo” (I love you), “Don’t give it up on me” and others. This first album and his type of music were accepted as African music in Ghana and anywhere else. He calls his type of groove “African Fusion”.

The humble entertainer is out with a fresh second album titled “KISS”, Explaining why he decided to title his album with such a suggestive word he said; “yes, lots of people read different meanings into it when they hear the title but kiss in the world over, is an expression of love”. He wants to use this album to let Ghanaians and the world for that matter know that love is the greatest thing that ever happened to humanity.

“We have to keep love and show love to our children, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and every human being”. The popular song currently making strong waves on TV and radio is “Odo ntintan” (Love web) and other hit songs like “See me see trouble” a Nigerian rhythm with good Ghanaian Melody, “Yehowa” and “Kenedi Boni Oko”. Artistes featured include Kuku Doo, Nana Ama Dadze, Ken (K), Chicken Chay and other good musicians. The whole album was recorded by Bessa Simons.

Adolf is already working in advance on his next album at the S24 studio with Quick Action. He hinted that he will collaborate with Castro de destroyer on his next project and from a sample this reporter heard, Adolf is in to surprise everybody. It’s already a bomb. “I will keep advancing and developing from album to album, nobody can predict what next I will be bringing out”. Adolf said. Speaking to Castro about his new collabo with Adolf he said the knowledge Mr. Tagoe has in music made it very easy to work. He is straight forward and accepts suggestions from others. Castro said Ghanaians should just wait for this mind blower.

Adolf thanked God for bringing him this far, thanked all his fans for loving his type of music and thanked Paa Kwasi of TV3 for supporting him all this while. Mr. Tagoe advised that even if you hear his song and you don’t have money to buy a copy don’t worry just try and listen to the massage in the song.
