The newly elected president of Ghana Olympics Committee Mr Ben Nunoo Mensah has hinted of his desire to mediate the impasse between the Ghana Athletic Association and embattled Martha Bissah.

The Ghana Athletics Association banned the youth gold medalist in June, 2016 for what they called gross indiscipline and attempt to bring the name of the association to disrepute.

However speaking to the issue on Accra based Hot FM, the GOC boss expressed his knowledge about the development and has rolled out plans to arrest the situation.

“I will engage with president of [Ghana Athletics Association] and solicit for their advice; whatever the problem is, we have to find amicable solution to and make sure the ban is lifted”, he said.

The GOC boss appreciated the potentials of the athlete and stressed the need to resolve the problem and get her back on the track. “Martha is a brilliant athletic, she has a lot of future”,

On his plans for the Committee he emphasized that “Very soon I will be meeting with every federation head to understand their challenges and look what we can do”
