Peter Adzaho wins cross country race

Cape Coast, June 23, GNA - Mr Peter Adzaho of the Accounting Department of the Cape Coast Polytechnic came first in the schools' inter-departmental cross country athletics competition. Mr Adzaho who clocked a time of 54 minutes 45 seconds received 500,000 cedis cash as his prize. The eight kilometre race attracted a field of 30 participants from the various departments of the Polytechnic.
Nana Osei Benedict of the Marketing Department took the second position to win a cash prize of 300,000 cedis while Samuel Awudu of Accountancy Department placed third to take home 200,000 cedis. In the Women's division, Emelia Agban of the Catering Department came first in the four kilometre race in 45 minutes 30 seconds. Ms Lucy Atorkui of the Tourism Department took the second position while Ms Charity Woachi of the Marketing Department came third.
