Paralympic athletes in USA for camping

Two Paralympics athletes are currently in the USA preparing for the 2016 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials-Track and Field for which they wish to be nominated to represent team Ghana in the Paralympic games in Rio come September 2016.

The duo namely Ajara Mohammed and Anita fordjour departed from Ghana last week and expected to participate in the 1500 metres (T54) and 200/1500 metres (T54) respectively in the field events.

The coach of the track and field Paralympics team Peter Adjei told sportscrusader.com that “the camping will help the athlete to acclimatize with the conditions and it will further equipped them in their training because of the facilities at their disposal”.

The U.S. Paralympic Team Trials-Track and Field will take place in the month of May.
