National Athletics Championship fixed for July 2

Accra, June 23, GNA - The Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) will organise a National Athletics Championship from 2nd-5th July, at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.

The championship is to select athletes who will represent the Nation in the forthcoming African Junior Championship in Mauritius and World Championship in Berlin, Germany in July and August 2009 respectively.
A statement Mr. George Osafo-Agyei, General Secretary of the Association said, the competing athletes are expected to arrive in Kumasi at the early hours of July 2, with the commencement of the championship scheduled for July 3.
