John Ampomah undergoes successful surgery

Ghana’s Javelin thrower, John Ampomah, has undergone a successful surgery on his right shoulder in Finland.

The national record holder (83.09m) posted on his Facebook account and also sent his best wishes to his colleagues who will competing at the IAAF World Championships in London.

He wrote: “It’s been a long day and I had a successful surgery. I’m grateful to everyone who supported me. Now, it’s time relax and cheer for Team Ghana!

Ampomah was Ghana’s team captain at the 2016 Rio Olympics and also won silver at the 2016 CAA Championships in Durban, South Africa.
