Ghana Boxing Authority president Peter Zwennes Ghana Boxing Authority president Peter Zwennes

Ghana Boxing Authority president Peter Zwennes says his biggest achievement will be to have a world champion before he leaves office in April next year.

The legal practitioner, who took over from Samir Captain as GBA boss in 2013, has so far failed to produce a World title holder during his reign comparatively.

But Zwennes is cocksure undefeated Ghanaian lightweight boxer Richard Oblitey Commey's bout against Robert Easter Junior on Friday for the vacant IBF World Lightweight title in America will be his biggest achievement as the GBA head.

“Well I have some few months to go and for me my biggest achievement will have been to have world title. Richard Commey is a very promising boxer as he comes up against Robert Easter Junior so we hopeful about that, so it will be premature to say what my biggest achievement yet is,” he told Starr Sports.

Commey, a former Commonwealth Champion, goes into this bout with 24 wins with 22 coming by way of knockout.

Twenty-five-year-old Easter has gone 17 bouts undefeated with 14 coming through knockouts.
