Serowe Police have arrested 39 people alleged to have played a role in a mob attack at Paje on January 13.
Two people, a headman, and another man were attacked after a 39-year-old man of Mampa ward at Paje, who went missing on December 13 last year was found hanging from a tree at Sebabi cattle post, some six kilometers from Paje.
Residents suspected that the duo had killed the deceased.
Serowe Police Station Commander, Superintendent Poloko Oteng, told BOPA that even though they initially arrested 39, some had been released from Police custody while investigations continued.
Supt Oteng stated that six people were injured during the attacks.
He said four, among them an army officer who was on duty, was receiving medical attention at Sekgoma Memorial Hospital while two were released the same day.
Supt Oteng further indicated that the situation at Paje had calmed down and the police patrolled the village.
