Police in Budaka District are investigating suspected case of mob action in which 50-year-old private security guard was beaten to death after he was allegedly found in company of another man suspected of engaging in witchcraft.
The deceased has been identified as Tawuti Ibrahim, private guard at St Emmanuel Kamuge Primary School.
He was resident of Kamuge Village, Puti Sub-county, Kibuku District.
According to ASP Wilfred Kyempasa, Bukedi North Police spokesperson, incident occurred at about 5:17am on November 7, 2026, in Natoto Village, Bupuchai Parish, Kameruka Sub-county, Budaka District.
