Kenyan music band, Sauti Sol
Kenyan music band, Sauti Sol are flying high on a billboard.
The official video of ‘Suzanna,’ off the band’s fourth studio album ‘Midnight Train’ is featured on a Times Square billboard in New York in the United States.
The video will be seen by hundreds of thousands of people who pass through the major commercial intersection, tourist destination, and entertainment center daily.
The appearance is courtesy Youtube Music.
“Thank you @youtubemusic for celebrating Black voices and allowing us to be heard globally,” reads a caption by the group on Instagram.
The 2014 MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act winners were recently listed among the #YoutubeBlack Voices Artist Class of 2021.
The initiative seeks to “develop and amplify the voices and stories of black creators and artists around the world,” and “present fresh narratives that emphasize the intellectual power, authenticity, dignity and joy of black voices, as well as to educate audiences about racial justice.”
