Too Good: Jean-Pierre Nsame

Swiss Super League leaders Young Boys returned to winning ways in style at the weekend, thrashing joint-bottom Xamax 6-0.

Nsame, the competition’s top scorer, netted twice in the encounter taking his tally for the season to 23 goals from 24 matches, 11 more than St Gallen’s Cedric Itten who has 12 strikes.

The Cameroon frontman’s replacement, Meschack Elia, put the icing on the cake with his first goal of the campaign in second-half stoppage time.

Too Bad: Ismaila Sarr

Watford suffered another disappointing defeat this weekend, falling 3-1 at home to Southampton.

Yet again, Sarr failed to fire the Hornets to success and his form since the Premier League’s resumption has been worrying.

In fairness, Watford still seem to be going through the motions and their spot just outside the dropzone in 16th can be attributed to teams below them equally faltering.

Too Good: Abdoulay Diaby

Diaby scored the second of three goals as Besiktas thrashed Konyaspor 3-0 on home turf on Friday night.

The 29-year-old Mali forward has now scored in successive Super Lig games, to take his tally to for the season to four goals.

Galatasaray and Sivasspor dropping points means Besiktas, in fifth, are within two points of the former and three of the latter in the battle to end in the Europa League playoffs.

Too Bad: Mbwana Samatta

Aston Villa lost 1-0 to Wolverhampton on Saturday which leaves them second-bottom on 27 points, joint-level with Bournemouth and West Ham United, and one higher than Manchester United.

Tanzania striker Samatta couldn’t hit the back of the net yet again, taking his run without a Premier League goal to seven games.

Villa are without a win in eight matches, a run that threatens their place in the top flight.

Too Good: Ismael Bennacer

The Algerian midfielder produced another solid midfield performance as AC Milan secured a 2-0 win over Roma at San Siro.

Bennacer was fairly accurate with his passing, often came out on top in his individual tussles and got stuck in where necessary.

Stefano Pioli’s men, in seventh, ended Roma’s three-game winning run to close the gap between both sides to six.

Too Bad: Sofiane Feghouli

Galatasaray’s run of games without a win extended to five on Sunday after playing out a 1-1 draw with Istanbul Basaksehir.

Their Algerian wideman couldn’t help his side claim a victory against the league leaders, thus missing out on the chance to close the gap at the top.

Following the result, Fatih Terim’s men stay eight points behind Basaksehir.
