The Public Accounts Committee (PAC), has recommended the arrest of a former headteacher of Ahamansu Erishad Primary School in Kadjebi, Patrick Wisdom Krampah.

This headteacher has been accused of receiving more than GH¢72,000 unearned salary.

The Auditor-General’s report revealed that Mr. Krampah had been paid an amount of GH¢72,759.32 from February 2018 to June 2020, although he was no longer employed by the Ghana Education Service.

The report recommended that the Regional Education Director ensure that Mr. Krampah returns the money he received.

The report added that the money should be paid with interest to the Auditor-General’s Recovery Account at the Bank of Ghana.

These came up when the District Director of Education appeared before Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee.
