Mzee Moi's body arrives at Kabarak ahead of burial

The military helicopter carrying the body of the late former President Daniel Arap Moi has landed at Kabarak Airstrip.

Those on board who accompanied the body of the late president from Wilson Airport included his son Gideon Moi.

he Chief of Defence Forces General Samson Mwathethe was among those on hand to receive the remains of the former president.

Several government officials including Interior CS Fred Matiang'i have already arrived at Kabarak.

ODM party leader Raila Odinga, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka among other leaders are also present at the Kabarak University grounds.

President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto are expected to attend the funeral.

Thousands of people across the country have turned up as government kept its earlier promise to provide sodas and bread for the first 30,000 people.

A funeral service was held at the Nyayo International Stadium on Tuesday which was attended by seven heads of state including several dignitaries.
