Money laundering: Opening of an investigation against Cameroon-Survival

Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atang Nji Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atang Nji

The Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atang Nji is resolutely committed to burying the "Survie Cameroon-Survival Initiative" project by Maurice Kamto.

After sending a note to the management of Afriland First Bank to close the association's account, Paul Atanga Nji contacted the Minister of Finance for the opening of an investigation.

"I have the honour to bring to your attention that I sent this day, a correspondence to the Director-General of Afriland First Bank relating to the closure of the account opened by the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC) under covered with an illegal association called "Survive Cameroon-Survival Initiative" for the purpose of collecting public savings, "wrote the Minister of Territorial Administration, who considers the association and the fundraising activity illegal.

Paul Atanga Nji believes that the collection launched by Maurice Kamto could constitute a money-laundering operation.

This is the reason why he asks the Minister of Finance "to kindly ask the heads of the National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), whose mission is, among other things, to combat money laundering, the opening of an investigation into the activities of "Survie Cameroon-Survival Initiative" and the need to freeze the funds already collected beforehand, without prejudice to legal proceedings against all those responsible for financial activities obscure of said association.

"The MRC will not let go because Operation SURVIVAL CAMEROON is not an initiative of the MRC ... As a war, I assure you that even the law is not authentic. The people need us. These actions that we are carrying out aim to help our populations. We must bring material aid to the medical profession ... We expect much more from Mr. Atanga Nji. ", Declared the 2nd Vice-president of the MRC Tiriane Balbine Noah on ABK Morning.
