Miss Nigeria explains her reaction after Miss World loss

Nigerian beauty queen Nyekachi Douglas has told the BBC she knew Miss Jamaica, Toni-Ann Singh, was going to win the Miss World competition. She garnered a lot of attention after her supportive reaction to her rival's win went viral.

Ms Douglas' excitement was evident as she jumped in the air and broke into a dance after Miss Jamaica won the title.

Many people on social media have been saying that they want someone as supportive as Douglas in their lives:

"We were all working hand in hand to lift each other up," she told the BBC's Focus on Africa radio programme explaining her reaction.
