The Brega Oil Marketing Company announced the success of cleaning operations from the beach of Tobruk.

The beach was polluted by the leakage of Mazut fuel from the Al-Bukhari power plant early last week.

The clean-up work was carried out by teams associated with the Brega Oil Company and the Arabian Gulf Company, in accordance with the instructions of the National Oil Corporation (NOC).

The head of the Pollution Control Committee at Brega Company said that "pollution has been removed from the entire beach."

"The leaked diesel material is also being disposed of using standard scientific methods, including a skimmer and the remainder of the spillage is being dealt with in the vicinity of the steam station."
