Kenyan football star Victor Wanyama has confirmed his transfer from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur to Major League Soccer club Montreal Impact.
Wanyama tweeted in the early hours of Wednesday, showing appreciation to Spurs where he has been for four seasons.
Wanyama has signed a three-year contract with the Montreal Impact as a Designated Player.
The club in a statement said they would confirm the acquisition after receiving Wanyama's international transfer certificate and his medical examination result.
Wanyama said when former Arsenal player-turned-coach Thierry Henry called him to join Montreal Impact he was excited to work with him and hopes to make a difference.
