Ghana's Akufo-Addo meets Tebboune at UN as they discuss planned visit to Algeria

Ghana's president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has met with the President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the United Nations headquarters.

The meeting took place in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad of Algeria, Ahmed Attaf, and the Permanent Representative of Algeria to the United Nations, Ammar Bendjama.

According to a statement shared with GhanaWeb, the meeting between the two Heads-of-State is in furtherance of discussions towards a planned visit of Ghana’s president, Nana Akufo-Addo, to Algeria.

"Both parties are working on a state visit to Algiers in the coming weeks," it stated.

The meeting was held on Monday, September 18, 2023.
