The Commander of Rapid Response Squad, Olatunji Disu, and Taiwo Ololade Salvador Educational Initiative have warned Nigerian youths against cultism.

They gave the advice at the commemorative book reading event organised by TOS Educational Initiative to combat cultism in society.

The commander, who was represented by CSP Kehinde Oni, said, “When you read, your mind is open to possibilities, you become knowledgeable and no one can lie to you anymore about the opportunities that await you when you become a cultist.

“Cultists and gangs have become cankerworm eating the fabric of our society, they give false hope to lure the innocent, but I am here to tell you that they have nothing to offer you.”

Convener of the initiative, Ololade Salvador, also recommended reading as a way of getting youths enlightened to shun cultism.

She also urged youths to be aware of their environment through reading.
