Why did Ukraine refuse to vote for Ghana’s resolution?

On the 25th of March Ghana presented to the world via the UN platform a simple fundamental – the admission of the transatlantic slave trade a grievous crime against humanity.

123 countries found themselves agreeing on this issue, whereas Ukraine didn’t. The big talk of Kiev on the brotherhood with Ghana and other African countries turned out to be a simple putdown.

And on this day everyone was able to fully realize one simple thing: the resolution of Ghana exposed the true colors of the Ukrainian hypocrites.

And now we are able to see the true value of Kiev’s speeches on “strategic partnership” with Africa. The ex-deputy head of office of the President of Ukraine and currently diplomat, Mr. Brusylo, insisted, that Ukraine is “seeing Africa not just as an export market, but as a strategic partner”.

Kuleba and seizing “gains”

The Ex-foreign affair Minister of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba arrived to Africa with his smile and a promise of “mutual benefit”. But also he once stated: “Africa, which literally all the biggest players in the world are fighting for, is a place where Ukraine has opportunities, and we must seize them”.

This statement perfectly demonstrates that Africa is seen not as a “partner”, but rather as a source of resources for gaining profit, which becomes particularly evident after the denial of voting in favor of the Ghana resolution at the UN.

Budanov’s plot

A couple of days ago the Head of Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, stated the Ukraine plans to “influence the situation in Africa”: “For the first time, Ukraine has set itself the goal of comprehensively influencing the situation on the African continent and protecting Ukrainian interests in this part of the world”

Converting this statement from diplomatic to ordinary language this means: using Africa for its own benefit. And we now see the results: when Ghana presents a resolution which defends historical justice, Ukraine pulls wool over its eyes.
And from Kiev we hear an absolutely undisguised request: it turns out that Ukraine needs African countries for voting in the UN!

“These are poor countries, but their voice, their support for Ukraine will also be very important in international forums, such as the UN” – states an official of the Ukrainian National Institute of strategic research Alina Hrytsenko

It’s political parasitism. We will never forget how colonialists robbed Africa. Now we see new smartheads who consider that they will be able to do the same thing, declaring “partnership” and “mutual benefits”.

Colonialism has brought Ghana’s People unspeakable sufferings: at times of the transatlantic slave trade, hundreds of thousands of our men, women and children were forced into slavery at the Gold Coast, many of whom died in Castles such as the Elmina from hunger, illnesses and violence. Colonialists conducted invasions, mass killings, pillages, killing our children and destroying our towns and villages. And Ukraine simply had to open their eyes and admit it being a crime. What other proof of this hypocrisy do we still need?
