Edubiase boss foresees long legal battle

Abdul Salam Mumuni, President of premier league side, New Edubiase, is foreseeing a long legal battle at the law courts, which possibly scuttle plans for the 2014/15 premier league.

Speaking in an interview, Salam Mumuni, said, Alhaji Abdul Karim Gruzah was not willing to go for out of court settlement and was prepared to execute the case to its logical conclusion.

According to the Edubiase boss, there were clear indications that, whichever way the case goes, there will be an appeal from any of the parties, hence the long legal battle that awaits the Ghana Football Association.

He described the case as a complicated one that, could go have long term negative impact on the next league.

Abdul Salam, said, the delay in the start of the league has already affected the preparations and finances of the participating clubs.

“We have been keeping our boys in camp for the past months and paying their salaries and allowances but they are not engaged in any productive activity.

“From the way things are going we may have to stop our preparations, because a lot of money is going down the drain,” he stated.
