Ghana forward Abdul Majeed Waris has revealed his most memorable game as a footballer.

The FC Porto star, currently on loan at French side Strasbourg picked Ghana's 6-1 thrashing of Egypt as the best game he ever played.

Waris was in devastating form as the Black Stars annihilated the Pharoahs of Egypt in a World Cup qualifying play-off in Kumasi. The 28-year old was one of the scorers on the day and provided assist for another goal.

"I think it was a national team game, Ghana against Egypt in the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. We beat Egypt 6-1 – that took us to the World Cup," he told Get French Football News.

"A few Ghanaians were worried we were going to lose the game because Egypt had a very good team. We were playing in Ghana, it was great weather, nice pitch and the stadium was unbelievable.

"It was crazy. We ended up beating them 6-1, I scored and then I think I set up two goals – the country went crazy," he added.

The pacy forward's performance on the day was convincing enough for him to be included in the World Cup squad for Brazil 2014.
