Former Sierra Leone midfielder Rodney Strasser has recounted how Kevin-Prince Boateng's stunning second-half heroics helped AC Milan defeat his Lecce 4-3 in 2011.

US Lecce were cruising to a 3-0 lead at half time before the introduction of Boateng after recess.

The Ghana forward netted a hat-trick within 18 minutes of coming after half-time, as a stunning second-half comeback for AC Milan saw the Rossoneri recover from three goals down to beat Lecce 4-3 at Stadio Via del Mare on Sunday.

An 83rd-minute header from Mario Yepes completed the fightback for the defending champions, who had been three goals adrift after 37 minutes following a shambolic first-half display.

Strasser could not forget that epic encounter and labelled Boateng as 'incredible' following his second-half audacious performance.

"In Lecce I felt very good. Too bad for the serious injury against Juve, I was the owner and I was making my contribution. I found myself very well with Di Francesco: a young coach who wanted us to play well. Even today that Lecce-Milan seems crazy to me. We won 3-0 after half an hour and were dominating. In the second half Boateng entered and alone he overturned everything. Incredible ... "

Strasser and Boateng played together for two years at AC Milan before he left to join Lecce in 2012.
