Construction works at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park of Karela United is almost complete with the club expected to take full charge of the stadium before the end of May 2020.

The Ghana Premier League club could not play a single match at the venue in the 14 games played before the season was suspended as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The supporters of the club and the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) who are sponsoring the project have been on unfriendly terms for a while with regards to the delay in finishing the project.

After months of complaints, it looks like the pitch will be ready in no time.

Pictures available on social media have proven that indeed the construction of the AstroTurf is almost complete.

The works on the CAM Park are expected to cost an estimated value of $1.89 million and will also see a face lift of the stands, as well as other facilities that will allow the stadium to tick green boxes on the club licensing regulations requirements checklist.
