Sports journalist, Mr. Joe Lartey (Jnr), has been explaining to the media, the mission statement of the Accra Biennial Football Exposition to get them acquainted with its purpose ahead of its scheduled tentative dates of March 20-24, 2006.
Event media liaison, Mr. Lartey(Jnr) announced that the organizers of the exposition are Magnus Rex Danquah?s RICS Consults, and that it is themed, ?? Redefining Commercial Value of Football in Africa??.
Mr. Lartey(Jnr), who is also a worker with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation and Television Africa, explained that the principal target group of the event is football industry investors and entrepreneurs, sports kit designers, manufacturers, suppliers and distributors of football goods and equipments, sports medicine and tourism, football facility architecture and development and club owners, managers and administrators.
The rest are football information and communication technology, football associations, football consultancy services including fund raising, sponsorship and marketing, public relations, financial and insurance services, merchandizing, sports legal services and event management.
The format of the four-day event, Mr. Lartey stated will be in the form of exhibitions and workshops on global franchising, merchandising and licensing, football administration, technical development, organizations and promotion, legal planning and implementation, strategic planning and development, event planning, management and marketing, new perspectives on financial and insurance services for football and news media and football in Africa.
The rest include career counseling, pension schemes for active and retired performers, performer management and agency, facility development, developing a football legacy and brand development and sponsorships in African football.
