Maxwell Konadu explains what new signing Emmanuel Sarkodie brings to his team

Head Coach of Asante Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu has explained what new signing Emmanuel Sarkodie will bring to his team after capturing his signature from Nkoranza Warriors.

The Porcupine Warriors stole the march on other clubs to sign the player as they look to strengthen their team.

According to Maxwell Konadu, his team only have one defensive midfielder in the person of Justice Blay, and Sarkodie will be a backup to Blay when he is injured or suspended.

“Naturally Sarkodie is a defensive midfielder and in our team it is only Blay who plays that position to perfection but, it doesn’t mean the rest are bad players.

“Sarkodie will be a backup for Blay when he’s injured or suspended but, that doesn’t mean Sarkodie won’t be starting games alongside Blay.

Maxwell also hinted the club is still in talk with other players to join.

“We are in talks with other players to join us but, we can’t make it public because there’s nothing concrete for now.

” We are talking to one or two players so it’s not likely we will sign more than two players in addition to Sarkodie for now.” He added.
